Oct 31st 2009 The Magic Behind A Full Time Income From Home

We’ve all seen the thousands upon thousands of advertisements that offer full time incomes from our home office. Often time they deal with things like reselling, multilevel marketing, and programs which require huge down lines and a long term plan of action before the money starts to roll in.

Online jobs are a dime a dozen. Good online jobs and work from home opportunities aren’t quite so plentiful, but they are not as rare as you may think either. The successful work at home programs are blowing apart the work a day world by storm and people from every walk of life are getting in on the action. Transitioning to a work at home position is not out of reach if know what information to hone in on and how to capitalize on that information.

THE BASIC SECRETS OF MYSTERY SHOPPING

By now, most of us have heard of mystery shopping and we think we have a pretty good idea of what it is. Some of us even thoughts about it, maybe even purchased one of those $29.99 deals that promised we’d be rolling in money within a few short weeks but never really explained how we were supposed to do that. Frustrating.

Mystery shopping is a work at home job that allows you to set your own hours, be your own boss, experience people, and often walk away with free merchandise as well as a paycheck. An average person can actually earn a full time income from mystery shopping.

Mystery shoppers are regular men and women who are paid to secretly evaluate various aspects of businesses. Often a trip to a restaurant, a shopping trip at the mall, or a night out at the movies is not only reimbursed, but the time it takes is paid for as well. This is the basics of mystery shopping, and the industry is growing by leaps and bounds every year.

For the company a mystery shopper provides invaluable advice. Often a company can tell if management is doing the job they are supposed to, if customer service is serving the customer, and the overall quality customers have when visiting the establishment. Few things drive away business as fast as a poor experience dealing with staff or quality. People want to feel as though they received a good value for their money. An establishment with poor service is never a good value.

So far it sounds like a good job from home. For those who don’t think working at home really suits them because they are concerned about not having enough outside contact with people, this job is the perfect solution. But of course you are wondering how does anyone get a job from home like this?

WORK FROM HOME, NOT A JOB FROM HOME

First, let’s approach working from home jobs with the right attitude. Actual J-O-Bs from home are extraordinarily rare. That would be the circumstance most people already have without having to leave their home and go to another building. They have a boss, set wages, set timeframes for working, and limited vacation. If they want a raise, they have to ask for it.

Working from home more often means none of those things truly apply. You are in control of your time. If you want more money, you work more. If you need a vacation or an emergency day off, you take it. Working from home means that you are the boss, in most cases you can consider yourself an independent subcontractor.

So now that you are ready to work for yourself and be in control of your own time, consider whether mystery shopping is right for you. It comes with pretty good pay if you land enough jobs. Just like any situation that will free up your time and put you in control, you will need to have an aggressive streak about you. These jobs are available but you need to go after them. Nobody is going to call you up and ask you if you would do them a favor and come be their mystery shopper for the day. Jobs do go quickly, but an individual who is dedicated to being successful can do it as a mystery shopper

ARE YOU A SECRET AGENT SHOPPER?

Many of us are already mystery shoppers, we just don’t have anyone to give our opinion to and we aren’t receiving paychecks for it. But we do know when we are receiving a good value for our money. I have been so appalled at service in restaurants that I have left a measly twenty five cent tip with a note that the service was horrible.

Beyond knowing a good value when you see it, a secret agent shopper has to be quite observant. Can you walk into an establishment and have a good working knowledge of what their shelves should be stocked with? Do you notice when there’s enough dust covering merchandise that you’d prefer not to buy it anyway? The ability to pay attention to these types of details could make you a very valuable mystery shopper.

You also need an impeccable memory. You can’t be seen wandering around the store fingering the merchandise and then writing in a little notepad. It is vital that the store you’re evaluating doesn’t know that it’s under evaluation. Of course they are going to pay attention to you and make sure you’re finding everything just fine if they suspect that you are going to tell their boss something about them. You are going to have to remember the details at least until you are in the privacy of your car.

As a professional shopper working from home, you are going to have to present yourself as a professional. If you are giving a negative report about a salesperson, make sure you know their name, or a very clear description of what they look like. Most receipts come with some sort of identifiable marker on them, such as an actual name but more often a coded number. By the way, though it is seldom mentioned it is also equally important to know the names or descriptions of exceptional employees when making a positive report.

READY TO SHOP FOR MONEY

So now you have a pretty good understanding of the job and what is basically expected of you and now you are ready to begin shopping for money. There are a few things that you need to be aware of before you plunge out into the world of cyberspace and hit the search engines.

Nothing of value comes for free. While there may be one or two floating around out there, I certainly have not found a mystery shopping employment guide that comes without some amount of nominal cost. Not all of them are worth the postage we used to have to put on the envelope to mail them the check. Before you whip out that credit card, take a moment and get some good advice.

My favorite place for everything mystery shopping and everything work at home is this great website I found with all kinds of information I didn’t even know I needed. Slip Allworkathomeguide into your browser and hit go. This website will help you every step of the way in finding the right work at home opportunity and the right mystery shopping experience for you. Their articles are informative and straight laced.

The All Work at Home Guide is like having a business partner who doesn’t ask for a share in your profits. They have all the fabulous information you need to not only make decisions about working at home, but give you tips to succeeding, staying focused and fresh, and even a few money saving tax tips.

The All Work at Home Guide has links to sites that can give you what you’re looking for. I went to check out the link to their mystery shopper affiliated program, but the best part was I didn’t have to purchase anything blind. The whole thing had already been explained to me in the article. There’s nothing more frustrating than purchasing an empty promise and realizing they were careful with their words to illustrate one thing that really meant something else. None of that here. Just straight forward point blank information.

It can be wonderfully exciting, and maybe just a little bit scary, to become your own boss. The limitations are now only set by you, and the possibilities are also set by you. Working from home as a mystery shopper can be a rewarding and lucrative experience. Most people find that once they start they don’t ever want to try anything different. After all, every day already is something different.

So welcome to the world of secret agent shopping. You are in for an adventure that you simply can’t get with any other job. Just don’t do it alone. Stop by allworkathomeguide regularly for supportive details to help you succeed.

Oct 31st 2009 Target Marketing Your Internet E-Commerce

It is one of the supreme ironies of the Internet that the computer, so long derided as impersonal, is now being used to create highly personal experiences for Web site visitors. Because a computer can sift through vast amounts of existing information according to preprogrammed rules, computers can now take company information (or special interest information) and combine it with information supplied by prospective customers and digest it in a way that is meaningful to each individual.
What are the best ways for businesses to personalize selling and customize products in order to build business. Although many of these methods are still in their infancy, a great deal can be gleaned as to current strategies and technologies and techniques and strategies can be implemented.

To attract new customers, companies can now establish Web sites that provide highly individualized recommendations based on information provided by the customer. In this way, it’s possible to tell a prospective customer exactly which product, among a plethora of possibilities, is just right for that individual or that business. The strategic idea behind these efforts is clear: By empowering the customer with information about how a specific offering meets his or her needs, the company positions itself as a knowledgeable place to buy and also demonstrates how its products are just right for that individual customer.

This information, properly used, gives an existing supplier or retailer a clear leg up on the competition: The Company is able to use its information to establish itself as the supplier of choice and to suggest services to existing customers before they request them. Companies can maintain effectively private Web sites for individual clients so that they can both provide extraordinary service and recommend new products that will be of value to these customers.

In the past, this type of personalized communication was virtually impossible: Retailers and suppliers lacked the detailed information necessary to provide these recommendations and the ability to cost-effectively communicate it to individual customers.

However, today we have moved into an era where technology allows firms to cater to the individual needs of customers in a way that have not been possible before. The value of these initiatives, both in tightening the bonds with existing customers and in attracting new customers, is high. Another business tool made possible by the Internet is something that previously was available only to the wealthy: product customization, done quickly and inexpensively.

How are companies making use of several levels of “personal” recommendations ?

In adopting any strategy based on personalization, privacy is a central issue. The ability to make the customer feel comfortable enough to give you the information you need to create a tailored product or solution is among the primary challenges companies must overcome.

1) The Web’s ability to help companies establish marketing intimacy is possible because a Web site combines five elements:

2) An opportunity to present information in an interactive format, permitting customers to express their preferences to the owner of the Web site

3) Virtually costless online communications between the potential buyer and seller

4) A visual component that lets potential buyers see prospective purchases and how they would appear if personalized The ability to store tremendous amounts of personal information about their customers

5) An unprecedented ability to create systems that configure products so that costly errors are eliminated, thus reducing the expense of creating custom products

Presently, one-to-one selling can be viewed in two general categories, recommending and customization.

Brick-and-mortar companies have long known that for the most part, either a motivated buyer has done a great deal of research on a particular product, or a product has been enthusiastically recommended by a friend or business associate. This knowledge leads to two keys to establishing a Web site that motivates buying:

Ample information (so that the buyer needn’t do any more research—and, in the process, possibly depart your Web site for another)

A positive recommendation. In the past effective recommendations were generally person to person, there are several reasons why these technology-based recommendations are valued now. One has to do with the dizzying array of choices that now faces consumers. A cosmetics firm may offer hundreds of shades of lipstick or eye shadow; financial services companies have become true supermarkets filled with choices; well-known cold remedies now have multiple versions that end with words such as “plus” and “sinus” and “cough.”

A generation ago, the dilemma posed by the array of choices was generally solved through one-on-one interaction (selling, if you will). Someone with a cold would have stopped by his or her local pharmacy and chatted with the pharmacist about which of the three or four cold remedies carried by the pharmacy would be best.

Depending on your product and customer, several types of recommending functions may work best. But first, let’s take a moment to consider how to judge effectiveness..

Personalization, like any business initiative, should be used judiciously. There are real costs that accompany developing personalized applications: They range from the hard cost of development dollars to the cost of disappointing customers or prospects who expected a better experience. It’s important to assess whether a personalization effort will be effective and contribute meaningfully to new sales or customer retention before investing the time and money in bringing it to market.

The criteria for establishing an effective recommendation system are different for every product. The system chosen is dependent upon a balance of the following: (1) the nature of the product, (2) the amount of information needed from the potential buyer to make an effective recommendation, and (3) the likely willingness of the prospective buyer to share this needed information with you.

Will consumers will trust the information they receive from companies on the Web as much as (or more than) they trust sales representatives? All evidence to date suggests the answer is yes. People believe that no trusted brand will risk its good name by posting misleading information on the Web.
As you go about creating an online recommendation system, your overriding goal should be to make the online shopping experience better than what a customer might encounter in the physical world. Therefore, you need to ask yourself: “What can my company accomplish using this medium that can’t be accomplished in the physical world?”

Payment issues online seemed to have been taken care of by the credit card companies as a matter of routine.

What about issues of privacy? Consider gathering data anonymously. Recommendation systems that provide advice to consumers anonymously are likely to be far more popular and, therefore, more effective. In these cases, you are able to provide the prospective buyer with value without needing to jump the hurdle of “you can trust me with this information.”

If you’d prefer to record the identities of site visitors, you are one step ahead if you are a recognized brand. Consumers are already predisposed to believe in your company name. In this case, address the privacy issue head-on with a statement that precedes your online registration form: “The information gathered here is to help us better serve you; we will not share or sell this information to anyone.”

Finally, if you plan to share customer data with others, then you need to be explicit about it and receive the customer’s permission. The worst thing you can do is fail to inform the customer that some piece of information you determine about him or her may be used in some way the customer does not expect.

Product customization is possible because of a convergence of two elements: the Web as a one-to-one communications technology and manufacturing processes that allow for the development and delivery of custom products.

Designing your own custom desktop computer at Web sites such as Dell has become “commonplace,” but what about designing your own swimsuit or, perhaps, golf clubs? These customized services provide several valuable benefits for companies: (1) They help to drive new business, and (2) customers are willing to pay a premium price for an individually designed product, which means these products and services sometimes have higher profit margins than standard offerings.

The ability to interact with customers and say, “I can create the product that is just right for you,” is one of the most powerful features of the Web. Expansion of this Internet capability will be the inevitable result of the combination of (1) manufacturers creating products that permit increasing customization, (2) further advances in computing power at ever decreasing costs, and (3) new software that is continuously enhancing the options available to businesses to personalize.

Smart companies realize that the more involved the relationship becomes with the customer, the better their rate of retention. They are implementing this strategy in a wide variety of creative ways, involving both personalization and customization, and will certainly enhance their applications significantly over time:

1). Companies are creating extraordinary convenience for customers and establishing systems to speed the fulfillment of custom orders.

2). E-mail communications and reminder systems are going to be used increasingly.

The ultimate goal of every business is to have a customer who wants to hear from the business about new products that he or she might want to buy. E-mail, for the first time, provides this type of powerful tool, since it’s an almost costless communications vehicle.

3). In business-to-business selling, smart companies are also linking tightly to their customers.
Leading-edge technology companies are offering custom password-protected Web sites for their corporate accounts and high-volume small business accounts. These sites are typically designed to simplify the buying process, and they offer

(1) customer online malls offering products preselected by the company to be bought by employees at volume discount prices,

(2) electronic mail links to account managers responsible for serving that customer,

(3) the ability to track the status of orders, and

(4) dramatic increases in the speed of order fulfillment through the elimination of paper forms and a reduction in errors.

This is a clear way of providing customers with additional value and of tying the customer more closely to your company. Most companies will also see an increase in revenues from these accounts.

What was called for, of course, was a new category of employee: “e-mail respondents”; yet no one wanted to add staff at an additional expense to a project that was in its infancy.
Enter “response software.”

Several intelligent software systems, are able to routinely handle and route questions, so there is no excuse for underserving your customers with the first and most basic customer service—answering their questions.

Companies who are successfully managing their e-mail via electronic means are also taking the opportunity to benefit from the Knowledge they glean.Companies are finally transforming their Web sites from marketing brochures to vehicles that turn visits into sales leads. Those who develop a Web presence and fail to respond to electronic inquiries in a timely manner run the risk of losing existing and new customers.

Industry research also shows that only 30 percent of Fortune 500 companies respond to questions directed to these companies through their Web sites, which means a large number of customers aren’t getting the personal attention winning companies need to provide.

As you consider the possibilities offered by personalization and customization, I suggest that these initiatives be weighed against these criteria: Will the initiative enhance relationships with my customers by adding convenience or a better ability to meet their needs? Will the initiative result in potentially high cost-savings for my organization Will intelligent product configuration eliminate and reduce costly order errors and help to target vital marketing efforts directed at the customer base entity?

Oct 31st 2009 The Pros And Cons In Establishing An Ebay Store

Ebay has provided some amazing opportunities for many people to earn online. This widely popular auction site has become the primary destination for users who wish to purchase anything – ranging from tangible products to digital items – hence making eBay a website visited by millions of people every day. Because of the volume of transactions happening in its pages, eBay has also become a virtual market place where thousands, if not millions, of dollars exchange hands on a daily basis as well.

Do you want a piece of that big, big pie?

Then you must first have to establish an eBay store.

Now, this is not a strong recommendation. This article is not meant as a sales pitch for a membership with eBay, rather, it seeks to present the advantages and disadvantages of building your own eBay store. You must remember that eBay isn’t the only place where you could peddle your goods. It is a good place where you could sell your items, but there are other alternatives you could consider. Should you settle with eBay? Or should you explore the alternative options? Let’s study the matter more closely.

There are most certainly a lot of benefits that could be gained from establishing your own eBay store. Let’s take a look at them.

• You’d be able to sell in a hotly visited environment. You’ll be able to expose your products to a wide array of prospects.

• Once you have upgraded to a Featured Store, you’d be given $30 worth of PPC keywords per month. This means that your store would appear prominently in the results for the particular keywords that users will search for. Such would most certainly drive more traffic to your auctions.

• A Featured Store would also deliver some advanced reports for your auctions. You could use the statistics delineated therein to improve the way you construct your sales pages, and the way you present your items for better efficiency in your future offers.

• A Featured Store will also allow you more eBay pages, which would mean more exposure for your products. It’s still a numbers game. The more auctions you have running, the more earning opportunities you could capitalize on.

• A Featured Store would allow you to reduce the size of the eBay banner appearing in your every auction. This would give you the chance to work on your page and bring the focus of your visitors to the items you will be selling.

• Ebay provides a certain level of seller protection and dispute resolution for potential problems you might encounter with your buyers.

Though these are great advantages for your online business, please bear in mind that they do not come without cost. There are also other disadvantages that are attached to having your own eBay store.

• Ebay stores don’t come free. A basic store setup would cost $15.95 per month. A Featured Store status would cost an even higher $49.95 per month. And the king of all kings, an Anchor Store, would require you to spend an onerous $499.95 per month.

• Having your own eBay store would pressure you to perform well when it comes to your sales. Though some may consider this as a benefit since such will motivate the seller to plan his course of action, the dangers will be experienced when you fail to earn enough profit to cover the cost of your subscription.

• People go to eBay expecting the best deals in the online market. You have to compete at this level, otherwise, the moment people would see the going rate for your auction, they’d immediately hop to the next item up for sale.

• You’d be bound by eBay’s selling policies. You cannot go around some of these restrictive policies, otherwise, you account can get suspended, or worse, terminated.

Establishing an eBay store is a solid choice for a business model. But you have to determine your goals as well as your marketing plan. Would an eBay store help you accomplish them? Or would selling your own goods in your own website, or through some affiliate automation program like http://www.clickbank.com , http://www.paydotcom.com or http://www.cj.com be better for your online business?

The choice is yours.

Oct 31st 2009 Super Savvy Internet Promotion

What happens if you build a website and no one shows up? You spend hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars on a site that gets a few visitors at best and certainly isn’t selling your books. For the most part, authors assume that Internet promotion stops once their site is up. But the harsh truth is that with all the sites popping up every day, yours will likely get lost in the shuffle unless you promote it.

Some years back, my company began pushing authors out to the ’Net to help increase their exposure and get into markets they might not otherwise have access to. In early 2005 I began pulling together what we’d learned and positioning it in a powerful new promotional program we call The Virtual Author Tour™, a campaign that exists only on the ’Net and one that you can implement too.

If the thought of virtual promotion is confusing, think of it this way: let’s say you build a wonderful store in the middle of an Iowa corn field. The only problem is there are no roads leading to it. A tour on the ’Net is like paving a super highway to your “store” and to tell you the truth, it’s really the only way surfers will find you.

To begin your own tour you need to have a good understanding of who your audience is and where they hang out on the ’Net. For some readers it will be in blogs (also called web logs), for others it might be chat groups, message boards or discussion groups but for most, it’s a combination of all of these.

Whatever it is, you should be able to begin tracking them down by doing a quick Google search on your topic or market. Your first search will bring you back a slew of sites, some of them great and some of them not-so-great. The first portion of the tour will take the most time because you’re going to have to investigate the sites to see how effective they might be in your promotional efforts.

One way to gauge this is to see what their Google page rank is. You can type the site into the following link and get a fairly good idea of where they rank: http://mygooglepagerank.com/ or you can load the Google toolbar into your Internet Explorer and get results each time you land on a page. Few sites will rank 10, but if the sites you’re looking at are 5 and above, you’re generally in the ballpark of sites worthy of a pitch. We will typically toss back anything that’s 4 and below unless the topic is very niche and the sites don’t get lots of hits because of a smaller market.

Once you have your list of sites, you’ll need to begin pitching them. Most often this is the area where authors get stuck. Why? Because they’re focused on selling their books. Regardless of who you’re pitching, you should never, ever sell your book. Always sell what your book can do for the reader and believe me, web sites, blogs, chat groups and discussion forums are always looking for books that will appeal to their demographic.

As you’re pulling together your tour, don’t overlook ezine article banks, these can be powerful too. If you’re unfamiliar with them take a peek at http://www.articlecity.com/ and you’ll see what I mean. This site archives hundreds of thousands of articles just waiting to be selected and placed in ezines. The good thing about this is that you never know the size of the ezine you’ll get placed in. It could have a readership of 500 or 20,000. Another good reason to do article submission is for the incoming links. Most of the main search engines change their algorithms quite frequently, doing this causes sites to go up and down in ranking but incoming links from websites, chats, blogs, and article placement can help give a site more consistent ranking rather than being at the mercy of an algorithm change.

And no virtual tour would be complete without a website, so let’s circle back to where we started, that all important author site. Do you have one? If you don’t you should not begin your virtual tour until you do. If you do have one, take a long, hard look at your site and see if it’s ready for virtual exposure. By this I mean that often times, websites aren’t nearly as “ready” as they could be. Why? Well for one your site design is really driven by your audience. Colors, styles, and wording will all depend on who you’re marketing to. Do you need lots of information or very little? All of this will depend on who your reader is. My site for example: http://www.amarketingexpert.com is packed with information. Why? Because authors and publishers arrive at my site hungry for knowledge so having articles, tips and lots of free information on there is necessary to not only get my audience to the site, but to keep them there.

Getting to know your reader is one of the most important components of any campaign and is especially true when you’re trying to go from a ho-hum site, to one that’s making the grade and converting visitors into customers. Do you know what your site conversion rate is? If you don’t you should; ask your web designer or site host for this information. It’s typically delivered in something called an Urchin report which is fairly easy to read and a wealth of information. If your site isn’t up to par, consider getting it Internet ready before you launch your tour. If you’re spending all this time sending folks to your site, you’ll want them to convert into buyers otherwise your time spent on the ’Net is wasted.

Unlike a real tour around the country, a virtual tour isn’t associated with any timeline per se and it’s certainly not as expensive as the cost of travel and lodging. The impact from a tour, however, can be felt for a long time. The reason for this is that unlike print or broadcast media, every step you take on the ’Net leaves a footprint. And the more footprints you have, the more times you’ll come up in a search and the more hits you’ll get on your site.

Also, consider this: the impact of going directly to your audience cannot be overstated. Rarely are you given the opportunity to gain direct access to your readers as you are on the ’Net. You can’t accomplish this in a bookstore or even in the best news piece. And while traditional media and bookstore placement offer great promotional leverage, the ’Net offers something that no other marketing programs do: a direct pipeline to your readers. So if you haven’t “gone virtual” you should consider it. No campaign is complete without it.

Wishing you virtual success!

Oct 31st 2009 Success Depends On Effective Internet Marketing Services

Ebusiness is a rapidly-growing industry that can turn a nice profit for any business. The internet is a valuable tool and resource for companies and business ventures, but one drawback of the internet is fierce, world-wide competition that makes survival crucial to staying successful. While many individuals choose to build their own ebusiness and create websites to sell their products and services, effective marketing is the only reason companies survive. Most people don’t have the skills or knowledge on how to securely promote their company to stay above the pack. Getting lost in the virtual world and missing out on sales from potential clients due to stiff competition winning out means that strong internet marketing services are imperative for long-term success.

One of the most important factors in having a successful ebusiness is achieving hits from surfers and readers to promote website popularity and boost ranks in search engines. A simple search returns thousands, sometimes millions, of links and most individuals only consider the first page of link returns that their search engine provides. Solid internet marketing services means that your ebusiness rises in rank towards that all-important first page of search engines. Ultimately, strong internet marketing services mean profits, income, recognition and awareness to increase your enterprise’s popularity and securely root your site where it needs to be.

There are many ways to boost your site’s popularity. Article marketing is the latest trend, and having excellent articles that are search-engine optimized using careful keyword placement, all the while having documents that maintain an informed, professional and interesting appeal, drastically improve your website’s chances of success. However, article marketing requires high-quality writing, is time-consuming and has to be continually analyzed for results and adjusted to be the most effective possible. Having a professional company handle your article marketing strategy is the only way to contend with your competitors and meet challenges head-on, unless you plan to invest a large amount of time and effort that ultimately keeps you tied up and away from landing sales.

Blogs are another strong internet marketing service that has shown to be popular with Generation X and younger individuals. Blogging is similar to article marketing, in that articles relevant to your enterprise and ebusiness need to be distributed widely and effectively across the virtual world. The continual stream of information blogs provide responds perfectly to the Generation X population’s need for fast, concise information. The results of blog marketing have proven to be an excellent method of boosting website search engine ranking and popularity, drawing in clientele. But again, as with article marketing, the time and need for top-quality appeal is crucial to effective blog marketing and most business owners need to focus on their own company. Leaving the promotion and marketing to professionals so that you have your hands free to deal with your business saves you both time and money, factors that are imperative to business survival.

Press releases are another strong way to boost search engine ranking, drawing thousands of readers and potential clients to your website. Press releases that are properly written to catch attention and carefully placed to maximize exposure improve your company’s reputation. Showing clients who you are and what you can offer, as well as impressing them with solid business tactics and strategies, will provide your website with a steady stream of traffic to increase your chances of getting known in the virtual world. While the time and effort of creating and submitting press releases is lower than article and blog marketing, only the highest-quality press releases get noticed by consumers and consulting professional internet marketing services for the best results is a smart business choice.

Choosing a reputable internet marketing services for your business is important. While you want to concentrate on your clients, sales and landing potential contracts or customers, you need to have confidence in the promotion companies you deal with. Make sure to ask plenty of questions about the options any marketing business provides and take the time to discuss both costs and results with internet marketing service providers. Qualifications and experience are important, so be sure that the marketing company you deal with has the knowledge to perform effective analysis and adapt changes, as well as having a solid, strong network that places your business where individuals will take notice. Dealing with professionals that save you time and money, providing tangible results that boost your ranking and sales, will be one of the wisest choices you make for your business success.

Oct 31st 2009 The ABC’s Of How To Build A Website To Sell Your Niche Product

There are three components that make up a nitch mini web site. The niche mini site is very powerful, easy to build and only needs to consist of three pages. This type of site should include a sales page, a payment processing page and an order fulfillment page.

Here is a closer look at each of these pages:

1 – The sales page.

The sales page is the page where you need to get inside the customers head and give them what they want. When customers come to your sales page they will only have two options – leave or buy. Obviously, you want them to stay and buy.

Now that we know what we want to accomplish lets see how we will do this.

The headline is where you need to state a strong and compelling benefit that your customers will receive from purchasing your product or service.

Next the introduction needs to explain how your product or service will solve the customer’s problem. No need to mention your product or service at this time, you are doing this to make the customer feel comfortable as they see you are willing to help them with their problem.

Now it is time to introduce your product or service which can be done in one of two ways or both. The first being a visual representation of your product or service and the second a description of your product or service and how it solves the problems that you have mentioned earlier.

The visual representation is especially important if you are selling an electronic downloadable product. The visual representation can be a picture created to look like a physical book (e-book) or a box shot that the physical software product would be packaged in.

Customer testimonials are also a very important and a strong motivator to somebody who is unsure about the product or service. After you have introduced your product or service you should display any testimonials you might have received from your customers.

When you first start promoting the product or service, it is very likely that you won’t have any testimonials to put on the sales page, leaving you with two options. First – Don’t include a testimonial section in the beginning. Or offer your product for free or a reduced price in exchange for a customer testimonial.

Next, create desire for your product by listing how your customers will benefit by owning it.

Remember to include a “Call to Action”. In this section you will ask your customer to buy your product or service. You might want to include a few free bonuses, make your offer the best deal in town. Many individuals also like to include a deadline which could motivate some undecided customers to buy the product.

Buying on the internet is still very new to a lot of people, so always offer a good guarantee to put your customers at ease.

In the last part of your sales page you need to summarize your offer and state your major benefit once more.

2 – The payment processing page

In many cases the design and function of the payment processing page is usually out of your control and in the hands of a third party like Paypal, Click Bank etc.

Most payment processors have their own processing pages and will give you a code to use on your sales page. When a customer clicks the payment button they will automatically be taken to the third party payment processor’s page. However, many third party processors and shopping carts do allow you to customize this page so it can better match your web site.

3 – The thank you/download page

After the payment, the customer will be sent to the download or fulfillment page. If the customer has never purchased anything online before, it’s possible that this was a hectic experience. So you’ll need to put their mind at rest and complete the transaction.

It is very important that you inform your customer that their payment has been verified before giving them any other information. You will need to tell them what to expect on their credit/debit card statement such as the name of the charge that they will see and the total dollar amount.

Explain to your customer, exactly how their order is going to be fulfilled. You need to give very good details so the customer completely understands what to expect.

Always include links to programs that will help the customer handle the product, such as an un-zipping program to unzip downloaded files that are compress and a link to a PDF reader so they can read any downloaded PDF files.

Creating a niche web site doesn’t have to be a hundred pages, it really can be done with only three pages. Many niche marketers are now focusing on mini sites as they have proven to work well and are easier to build.

Oct 31st 2009 Should You Buy Inbound Links?

There is no doubt that links from other websites to your website is vital for an ecommerce business. It all filters down to the Google Page Rank. This is the Google tool that is used to determine how important a website is to people surfing the net.

Google will balance the number of links, the PR of the pages exchanging the links, the keyword similarities on the linked pages, how often the site is updated, and the number of hits a site receives. Two PR 4 sites sharing links between pages with ‘small business’ as the main keyword, will benefit more from a small business website with a PR4 and a private blog that discusses ‘wealth building.’

Also, 100 links between a PR6 site and a PR4 site will increase the ranking of the second site faster than 100 000 links from a PR2 site and the same PR4 site.

This can all be a little confusing. Google’s PR algorithm controls everything. The confusion comes from the fact that search engines cannot think. Both the PR4 ‘small business’ site and the PR2 ‘wealth building’ site can be helping small business owners improve their page promotion. However, search engines cannot read. If they don’t see similar keywords, then they do not understand that the sites really do have similar content.

Building Links

The main problem with generating inbound links is the time needed to generate links. Even a strong link building campaign can take months to build a few thousand organic links. This brings up the question, should you buy links from other sites with high ranks?

The benefits are solid, if the link is in the right place. Some link buying services let the business owner pick what sites their links appear on, and which pages they appear on. This is the only type of ‘static page’ service to use.

Another service puts links on blogs. This type of service, like www.payu2blog.com and www.blogsvertise.com or www.payperpost.com let business owners pick the PR ranks, topics, and quality of blog, their links are posted on. Blogs have a benefit that static websites don’t. First, blogs always put the link inside the content, hidden within keywords that the business owner chooses. This guarantees that the keywords at both sites match.

The second benefit is that blogs are pinged to blog search engines, and directories, every time the blogger posts a blog, or a comment is posted. This means that a single blog can be ‘pinged’ to the search engines daily, where a static web page is pinged every few months – if ever.

However, a static page that is linked to a blog will be ‘crawled’ every time the blog post is published and pinged.

Crawling Your Site

Many people buy links from PR4 to PR8 sites for no other reason than to have the search engines come and crawl the site. It doesn’t matter if the link goes down, because the benefits have already been received. This is the best way to have a new website resolved by Google in a matter of hours, instead of weeks, or months.

Cost

Cost can be prohibitive. Some companies have a budget of $1million for blog advertising. However, a small company can get started for $1000. In fact, if the blog owner finds blogs with ads hidden among the posts, they can contact the blog owner and deal with them directly. A PR 2 or 3 blog will cost $5. A PR 4 – 5 will cost $10. A PR6+ can run as high as $100.

However, the traffic driven to your site by Google can easily offset the cost. Buying 10 links from 10 PR5 websites or blogs can result in 100 000 extra hits in a month, which can produce 1000 extra sales.

Link Farms

Whether you buy links on blogs or web sites, avoid link farms. These are sites that are in business to sell links. If the search engines find these sites they will ban them. This can result in your 1000 PR7 links disappearing – forever. It can take Google six months, or more, to apply new links to your website. This drops your page rank, and profits, for a few months.

Outbound linking

It is also important to remember to link from inside your website to similar sites. Google will count these links too. In the end, it is up to each individual business owner to decide whether they should build organic links, or invest in buying links.

Oct 31st 2009 Sending Traffic To Your List Building Page. Part Two: Getting Blog Traffic

We’re back again to talk to you about more ways to get traffic to your blog, which will in turn send more traffic to your list building or squeeze page. Last time, we talked about setting up and adding content to your blog. This time, let’s discuss other ways of getting traffic.

Natural search or what they term “organic” search traffic is great, but it takes a while to build up. But there are other search engines you may not be aware of. They’re specifically geared toward searching for blogs. One of the oldest is Technorati at http://technorati.com. If you have a blog and haven’t “claimed” it at Technorati, it’s probably a good thing to do. Your site will be indexed and ranked, and you could pick up an audience, too. The more people who like your blog the higher it will rise in the rankings.

There are other less “interactive” blog searches, too, like Blogsearch.Google.com or IceRocket, but there are many more. List your blog with as many as possible.

But the interactive sites are very popular right now. I’m sure you’ve heard of MySpace and YouTube, or you’ve been hiding in a closet somewhere. These sites bring traffic, but there are hundreds of sites that will have the same effect, if you get involved in what’s called “Web 2.0.”

StumbleUpon: When you write a post, you can “StumbleUpon” it. Give each of your pages a StumbleUpon vote and watch your traffic soar. To get to that page, rather than just the first page of your blog, you’ll need to click on the post’s title (if you’re using WordPress) or click on a link that says “permalink.” That will take you to a page with the precise post number included. StumbleUpon those each time you post.

SpicyPage: This is somewhat like MySpace in that you’ll have people asking to be your “friend,” or you can find friends of your own. SpicyPage is different than Digg or StumbleUpon in that you can include not just your blog postings in your profile, but your web sites as well. Make a lot of friends, get lots of votes for your site, and your traffic will climb.

Digg: Digg was created mainly to mark news stories for its members–news stories of interest. Well, when you post to your blog, that’s news right? Unless you’ve posted nothing but a picture or silly nonsense or random musings, Digg will accept your vote for other people to see what you’ve voted on. Be sure that your post is an article, though, or your page might be “buried.” You don’t want that.

Most of these sites work the same way or similarly to the sites above. Others include Furl, Reddit, and RawSugar, but there are hundreds. Sign up for as many as you can, and each day enter your posts into as many sites as you can. The more you enter, the more your traffic you’ll get to your blog.

One more way to get traffic to your blog would be:

Wikipedia: This online, user-generated encyclopedia is an incredible source of incoming traffic, if you can meet the editors’ requirements. At the bottom of every post is a section called “Other sources,” and this is where you’d enter the link to your blog. Just be sure that you’re providing quality information in that category and that your site isn’t commercial.

If you have a non-commercial blog, as with my own at ADHDWebsites.com, where I do nothing but talk about ways to control ADD and ADHD, then you might consider adding your link to Wikipedia. Just be sure to follow the guidelines or your link will be edited out, almost before it takes hold.

All of these sources will bring tons of traffic to your site. They take some time to set up, but many of them have toolbars or buttons you can put right on your browser to make submitting easy for you. The whole thing is to be consistent. Add good information to your blog, and then be sure to favor your posts every time you make them in as many places as you can, and you’ll be amazed at the traffic you get. For even more places to submit, go to http://www.go2web20.net/ .

Next time, let’s discuss another way to get traffic to your list building pages… writing articles.
